With the last season of Oprah currently taping here in Chicago, it is almost impossible to get tickets. But there are a few other shows that tape here that might be easier to get tickets to.
One of the most popular radio shows on NPR, Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me is taped here in Chicago at the Chase Auditorium, 10 S. Dearborn Street, right in the heart of the loop. The show is a humorous quiz show that mixes local, national and world events. Each week you can test your knowledge against some of the best and brightest in the news and entertainment world while figuring out what's real news and what's made up. Shows are taped on Thursdays and tickets are available on-line but only six weeks before the actual show is taped. It is very popular so get your tickets as soon as you know when you are going to be in the Chicago area.
Two popular TV Judges tape in the area as well. Judge Mathis and Judge Pirro both tape locally and are always looking for people to fill the courtroom. Tickets are available by going on-line and filling out your information as well as dates you are available to attend. Tapings for Judge Mathis (http://judgemathistv.warnerbros.com/tickets/) are usually done on Thursday and Fridays. Judge Pirro (http://www.judgejp.com/tickets/) schedule is not available on-line. You can also get information on bringing a case to one of the two judges.
Enjoy!
