Early Spring Update
The restoration is moving at a fast pace! We have finalized plans for 40" HD televisions in all rooms along with a jack pack which will allow ipod connection through the TV speakers. Cat 6 cabling has been installed to increase bandwith and add wireless internet service in all guest rooms. All rooms are also getting in room safes for safekeeping of laptops and valuables. New and innovative technology will make the hotel ideal for business travelers.

I just wanted to know how the noise level is during the construction. We are planning to be staying in Chicago March 24-26. Will be we bothered by noise and what are the hours for construction?
There is some light noise in the hotel during the daytime hours of 8am-4pm only. There should not be any significant disruption.
Is the restoratiion in the lobby going to be done by August, 2008?

The lobby restoration will now commence in December 2008. All guest rooms, however, will be complete prior to August.
